This photo was named “messy pencil” and the photogragher of it is me. Like the photo’s name, there were some pencil lay on table haphazard, a pencil lay on a pencil layer and layer. And the backgorund was my desk. There was a black shadow on the top of the photocopy and it was the shadow of my laptop.The photo was focus on the pencil which lay on the topest place in bunch of pencil, that the only one showed the sharp head. This  pencil placed on   middle of the photo and there was a sharp end of the pencil. The rule of third  used wasn’t that great, the pencil that I focus on did lay on a third line, but that pencil behind it  placed on a not  satisfied place. The photo used shape and texture. A bunch of pencils lay together and create squares and triangles and the shape of shadows of pencils. I like those wooden texture on pencils, especially the texture on that sharp end. I focus on this pencil and the texture on it was emphasised not like other pencils.

    The value contrast is high for two areas of comparison; the light and dark sides of each pencil and the light desk and dark laptop shadow.Mainly part of the photo has combinaition contrast of texture except the letter print on the pencil and the sharp end of the top.

   The photo showed just used a bunch of messy pencil and then they can place in intriguing shapes. I shoot this photo for tell you guys that very simple things like pencil can be interesting too. For the mood, I just thought it was pretty interesting to shoot photos such this.
